PROFILE OF THE CHAIRMAN

Mr. Mohammad Jainul Bari, Chairman, Sadharan Bima Corporation, accomplished his career in Bangladesh Civil Service as the Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. He worked as Secretary, Planning Division, Ministry of Planning and Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare respectively. He also worked as a Chairman of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA). He holds B.A (Hons) and Master Degree in English from the University of Dhaka and Master in Public Policy and Management from Northern University Bangladesh. As a Member of BCS (administration) Cadre, he got the opportunity to serve in all significant positions of field administration and secretariat.

Through his civil service Career spanning over 30 years, he was involved in formulating and implementing Public Policies, designing, implementing and monitoring development projects and programs. Mr. Bari also worked as a procurement consultant in the World Bank assisted strengthening BPSC project.

He was a Director of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, a Syndicate Member of Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur, Rangpur Begum Rokeya University and Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). He is a life member of Dhaka University Alumni Association.

He Participated in many Professional training Program at reputed institutions including Asian Institute Technology (Thailand), Curtin University (Australia), University Putra Malaysia, University of Toronto (Canada), TERI University (India) and in national training institutes of Sri Lanka, Japan, Vietnam, and China.

He was born in an aristocratic Muslim family in Sylhet District.
